February Regeneration Update: Site 1 Construction Work Continues

Work on the first phase of the regeneration (Site 1, adjacent to Munch & Wiggles) is continuing to move forward with excellent progress.
From the outset, the Wolsey House Group team has worked with the village in mind, carefully planning each stage to ensure zero to minimal disruption to the High Street. The work has been so minimally disruptive, that a number of residents have remarked that they did not realise work had begun.
Since starting last year, construction has progressed steadily from the rear of the site towards the front, and we’re pleased to share that roof works are now underway. The project remains on schedule, with milestones being met as anticipated.
January 2026 Regeneration Update

Wolsey House Construction are making fantastic progress at Site 1 next to Munch & Wiggles. Their strategic plan, as promised to the community, to work from the rear of the site to the front is ensuring zero to minimal disruption on the High Street.
Discreet though the work may be, this is intentional, and the team are making extremely positive progress, with timelines being met and despite some adverse weather conditions, no delays so far. The first three months of construction have been a great success. In to 2026 the construction team go, with the goal still aimed for completion end of Summer this year.

Meanwhile, work on Site 1 (next to Munch and Wiggles) continues to progress smoothly. We extend our thanks to Wolsey House Construction, whose team has maintained excellent communication, minimised disruption wherever possible, and carried out much of the work from the rear of the building to reduce impact on the High Street, which has so far been very successful and kept the progress consistent and quick, yet discreet.
Now three months into the build, Site 1 remains on schedule and is advancing in line with the project team’s planned timeline.
The High Street regeneration progresses

The High Street regeneration will be underway this summer starting with The West One and former Deli site.
